Art residency at Mont-Megantic Observatory

I’m delighted to announce that I am going to be one of two artists-in-residence at the Mont-Megantic Observatory!

The residency is organized by the Mont-Megantic Observatory in celebration of its 40th anniversary, and the Centre d’exposition de l’Université de Montréal in honour of its 20th anniversary. Montreal artist Yann Pocreau is the other artist who was chosen for this residency, and we will present the outcomes of our projects this fall in a duo-show at the Centre d’exposition.

The residency will take place over the summer months, from May until September 2018, followed by an exhibition which is slated to run from September to December 2018. I will be spending time at the actual observatory, spending time with the researchers and technicians, and I will have access to the researchers and facilities of the Université de Montréal. In particular, I will be working with the team of the Institue for the Research on Exoplanets (IRex), since my project idea revolves around the possibility of establishing a new taxonomy for exoplanets.

I am looking forward to an exciting summer!
